Deepfrozen sliced carrots are prepared from natural developed carrots complying to the characteristics of the species Daucus carota L.
The whole carrots are cut in slices perpendicular to the axe. The slices have a thickness of 2 up to 10 mm; the diameter is maximally 35 mm. The cut is flat or undulated.
90 % in mass of the carrot slices is of the declared calibre. The diameter of the sliced carrots is defined as the smallest diameter of the slice measured with a vernier calliper.
